The Best 17 Seconds of Your Life: What The Oasis Zipline Is Really Like

It's the line on our homepage that gets the most questions: "the best 17 seconds of your life." Here's what actually happens in those 17 seconds, and everything around them.

What the Ride Actually Feels Like

You launch from a platform 30 feet up, then accelerate to as fast as 35 km/h down a single 407-foot line. In that stretch you get a full 360-degree view of the property — the rainforest canopy below, the resort grounds, and a pass directly over the creek, so you're soaring through open air one moment and floating quietly above blackwater the next. The flight itself lasts around 17 seconds; the full experience, including gearing up and the safety briefing, runs closer to 15 minutes. Want to relive it afterward? A 360-degree camera add-on captures the whole ride and your reaction to it, delivered within 24 hours.

Built-In Safety, Not Bolted On

You never brake yourself — the line uses a fully automatic primary braking system with an independent emergency backup, and every rider is clipped in with double trolley attachments for redundant security. Every gear fitting, harness check, and launch is handled by our own certified zip guides, and the line and equipment are safety-certified. We've run thousands of rides with zero injuries or accidents.

Who Can Ride (and What to Know Before You Go)

Riders need to weigh between 45 and 275 lbs, and shouldn't ride if pregnant, recovering from recent surgery, or dealing with serious heart, neck, or back conditions. A signed liability waiver is required for every rider (a guardian signs for minors), and closed-toe shoes are the safe choice — loose items like phones and hats need to be secured or handed to ground crew before you launch. Kids are welcome as long as they clear the minimum weight and fit securely in the harness.

Ways to Add It to Your Day

If you're already on a day package, a zipline ride is GYD 2,000 per person; walking in for a standalone ride is GYD 4,000. Booking the Corporate package brings 5 zipline passes built right in as an alternative to a standard team-building exercise. However you get on the line, plan for a short wait at peak weekend hours — it's consistently one of the most popular things to do here.
